King Island Race Season Finale
FLY-IN FAMILY DAY, Saturday 26 January 2013
Just 45 mins flying time from the coast of Victoria and Tasmania - Come join us for a great day out with feature races and entertainment for the kids including face painting and activities, prizes and more!
Racing on King Island is all about having a punt, a good feed, a few drinks and as much fun as you can have standing up! Fly-In Family day is all about sharing this with our visitors and making sure the kids have one 'helluva time'.
In 2010 we had visitors from all over; the Tasmanian Premier, Mr Barlett and his wife and others joined us, as did Penny Verco from Track to Track magazine. Richo from the 'Winning Post', and many other sponsorship representatives. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority chatted to racegoers about air safety and WineSelectors.com.au were there with wine tastings. We had the Human Hurdles and the inaugural King Island Chariot Race for entertainment together with a live band and plenty to entertain the visitors.
In 2011 the' King Island Chariots' continued with the jockeys joining in, the children were kept busy with giddy up bags, hobby horse races and a children's entertainer. A brilliant, sunny day promoted loads of fun for all ages.
In 2012 we will build on our well established foundations, provide plenty for the kids to do and certainly run the King Island Chariot Race for the third time (this time with a chief handicapper employed!)
If your business would like to be a part of King Island Racing on this action-packed day, please take a look at the sponsorship opportunities available.
